- Arizona will give you a dollar for dollar tax credit for donations to public or private schools through the School Choice of Arizona program. An individual can donate up to $500 or a couple up to $1,000 and you will get a 100% credit on your Arizona taxes. Go to http://www.azschoolchoice.com for more information.
- Arizona will also give you a dollar for dollar tax credit for donations to charities that provide assistance to the working poor. An individual can donate up to $200 or a couple up to $400 and you will get a 100% credit on your Arizona taxes. Go to http://www.maricopacfc.org/pdf/2010AZHWPLIST.pdf for a list of organiztaions.
- Lastly Arizona allows its taxpayers to contribute up to $200 to public schools to support extracurricular activities and then deduct the entire amount from their state tax bills. Contributions may be made up to $200 (or $400 for married couples filing a joint return).
