An easy way to take care of our military families

united-states-flag-6401Arizona residents can now take a dollar for dollar deduction for donations made to the Arizona Military Family Relief Fund on their state income tax returns.

The Fund is administered by the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (ADVS) so support will go to Arizona military families in need. It provides taxpayers with an avenue for charitable giving that actually gives the contributor a tax incentive. The credit is the smaller of the donated amount: $200 if single ($400 if married filing jointly), or the amount of state tax you owe. It is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax.

The donation form can be downloaded at http://www.azdvs.gov/Departments/MFRF/VET_Form.pdf.

If you have questions about how this and other credits apply to you, please contact us at https://www.cillierscpa.com.
